What is this mark on Trim Gauge for? 2013 232 Bowrider

Hello everyone. Can anyone share what the small double line 'tick' marks on the trim gauge located at approximately 4 o'clock position indicate? See image. I've looked through all my manuals with no luck.

It’s difficult to see from that picture. If I had to take a gander I’d say it’s the trailerable position for the outdrive when fully raised?

I would agree. It's not red so it's all good go for it and throw a rooster

On my 2008 272, the double mark is the "level" position... trimmed to the
point where the outdrive is parallel to the boat bottom. No up or down
componenet to the thrust, just forward.

My trim gauge has the same marks, but the marks are not referenced in the owner's manual. I was always told that the marks indicate the range of the usable trim range while underway, so you don't trim too far out while at power. This makes sense to me given the range of trim between the marks for my VP duo prop outdrive, and I suspect it's what the marks are actually intended for.

By the way, is there an easy way to clear the stuff on the inside
of the guage cover? Is that moisture?

Yes, double lines will show when the outdrive is parallel to the hull line.
