Fuel Vent Line problem

2003 Cobalt 220: I am unable to put fuel in the tank without it spitting right back out. That makes me suspect that there is a problem with the fuel vent line ... the chrome vent on the outside (see pic) has a built-in screen and is not blocked. We blew compressed air through this vent. Made no difference.

- How do I check the vent line
- How does the line run and where it it located? Assume it goes to the tank ...
- Anybody have experience with removing the side panels on the inside?

It's a bitch. Remove the speaker and reach your really short arms up there and drop the nut driver 5 times trying to get the hose clamps off. Then try to get this really hard hose off the fitting. Yep done that.
Hopefully a mud wasp didn't pack it full, spider webs get in there. Try going through your fuel sender access cover Between the rear middle seat under the walk through step. You will see a round plastic cover. Remove that and see if you can get to the other end of the hose from there. Then blow from there out towards the vent. Oh your not going to remove those side panels very easy plus it won't gain you access very easy either.
