Temp gauge

My temp gauge quit registering. What can I check to make sure it’s the temp gauge gone bad or???

Which temperature gauge? Water temp. Air temp. Engine temp?

Assuming this is engine temp, you can ground the wire at the sender and it will go to full hot on your gauge. If it doesn't, its your gauge.
