I have a 2020 Cobalt 23SC with a Mercury 250 HP Verado outboard. I am looking into adding an external Racor type fuel/water separator. I know the Merc outboard has it's own but I would also like to add a second fuel/water separator somewhere in the boat. Anybody done this before?

You should contact Merc. I know on a smaller outboard it was suggested not to because there is flow restriction through the external filter.

I have a 2017 25SC with a 300 Evinrude. Mine came equipped with a Racor S3228TUL external fuel filter.
