First boat!
Hey all!
I’ve been lurking since just before I bought my first boat - and first Cobalt - in October. I picked up a 2001 206 with the Volvo 5.7 GXI after reading everything that I could find on this forum that helped me decide to buy her. I took her out a couple of times last fall which was just enough to get me really excited for this summer at Stockton Lake in SW Missouri!
Having a couple of young girls and not much boating experience, I wanted to add a swim platform. I installed the swimplatforms.com platform last week with many thanks to my brother in law and Zhawker30 for their elbow grease and contortionist skills that I had no idea that they had. I also treated her to the Smoove Procut 2500 and Ceramic Shield.
Next upgrade will be SeaDek or similar product on original and new swim platforms.
Thanks to everyone for making this forum such a great resource!
Here’s how she looks today.

Re: First boat!
Mostly pulling a tube at first but we’re planning to see if the kids like waterskiing. We need some sunshine to get the water temp up!

Maybe try knee boarding with them too. It was a hit with the younger kids who also like tubing.

Re: First boat!
Congratulations. You're in for a great summer.
I know an older couple who move a camper to Stockton lake every summer to the same site.
They were grandfathered in as full summer rentals are no longer allowed.
They love the lake.
