Cobalt Precision

Just had an interesting experience of Cobalt's passion for precision engineering -- on a 37-year old Condesa.

I'm removing, sanding, and oiling all of the teak trim. Reinstalled a small S-shaped piece in between two other pieces -- and the damn thing stuck out about an 1/8". My initial reaction was: "What the hell? This looks like a Bayliner. What was Cobalt thinking?"

Removed the piece to inspect it. Sure enough, a few drops of teak oil had dripped down onto the back of the piece, dried, and kept it from seating as Cobalt had designed it.

Lesson learned: During renovation, if there's a problem, and I'm wondering if it was Cobalt or me -- it was probably me.
