What's normal operating oil pressure for the VP engines?

Post by VTENGR »

I was cruising around this past week and noticed my oil pressure was 70psi. Seemed kind of high to me. The engine's owners manual doesn't give a normal operating range. Is this something I should bring up to my dealer? I'm running a 2022 VP DP-350.

What was the was the water temp? and engine temp? These will both factor into oil psi seen. I have not really paid attention to my engine oil psi and we have the same base engine... I just figure if lights and whistles arent going off everything is good

Water temp was around 55 degrees and engine temp was in the normal range 160-170 ish. All the documentation I read focuses on low oil pressure, so maybe 70 psi is nothing to worry about.
