2006 282 Macerator Pump

Post by CameronDenison »

I have a 2006 282 with the porcelain head and sea strainer. When I take the macerator pump off the back of the head it operates and then will stop and it won’t operate and then if I play with it I can get it to spin again. When it’s in place it will not spin. In my opinion the brushes are going out but I wanted to see if anybody else had a suggestion on here. I assume the easiest thing to do is replace the pump.

if I am replacing the pump, can anyone confirm that the photos show the correct pump? It seems there was electrical tape on the input side of the waterline. As though this one was made to fit.

Much Appreciated!

Sorry you haven't gotten a reply, there are not that many 282's on this website. Posting this may bring this back to the top of the list.
Good luck and welcome.

Sounds like the pump might be failing. Are you certain that's a macerator or just raw water pump for flushing the toilet?
