New to me R3

Post by kwsbrother »

I’ve been lurking for months on this website and appreciate all the answers I’ve received from those much more versed in the world of boating, and specifically boating with Cobalt. I know I’ll be leaning on this group for more information and I want to thank you all in advance.

Today, I brought home a new to me 2016 Cobalt R3. I couldn’t be more excited to exit the world of pontoons and fishing boats with outboards to enter the roundabout world with a Cobalt. Let the summer begin with Ruby Ray.

Welcome. My sentiments exactly when I discovered this site. I've never seen a website that had more helpful users.
We really enjoy our R3 and I'm sure you will too. I'd be willing to bet that if you get rid of it, it would only be to buy a bigger one.
Beautiful boat.

Four up to this point and it was super roomy. However, when your switching people for tubing it's like every one wants to be around the action and blocking the walkway to the swim platform. Even used the table and had four around it, but that is really the max. I can't believe how much storage space the boat has. I couldn't be happier with it.

Putting it into the water must make it shrink. I remember when we thought our R3 was big.

Coming from my almost 18' fishing boat it seems excessively big to me. I would have went with an R5, but I couldn't find anything at a price point or close enough to make the jump. I'm sure at some point I'll get twofootitis!

We've avoided the two footitis. Most trips to the lake, we have 4 people or less. Lots of time, just me and the lovely lady.
