My New Steering Wheel, what do you think?

Post by 23Clubbing »

Hello fellow boaters!!

Well I bought a new wheel off of eBay and I could not beat the price. It looked perfect and it arrived today.

Somehow with my crappy monitor(the colors have always been a little off) I didn’t realize the wheel was brown n white as opposed to the black n white I thought it was. It was only $79 so I’m not out much.

However the cockpit is more a brown gray compared to the gray on the cushions. Would you keep it? My wife says it looks a million times better.

Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!!!

Chris

At first glance it looked like something out of “pimp my ride”.
It is growing on me though. For some reason I can’t look away. 🫣

I hear you!! My wife loves it, and I suspect it’s a very expensive wheel(Cobalt uses this wheel on their top end boats).

I think I’ll keep it for the time being but suspect I’ll go to the wheel everyone else is using, the Gussi Predator. :)

But like you I can’t look away…don’t know if that’s good or bad 😂

Me thinks we acquired our wheels from the same Gussi vendor - Nice and has a custom feel!

Quite possibly!! Yours looks great!!

it’s definitely growing on me, wish it was black and white like yours but the brown actually blends well and doesn’t look out of place.

Actually it's dark blue and white - to match the color of the boat and canvas. Photos don't catch the color as well as IRL. i think yours works well with your boat! I thought this was a steal for less than a C-note!!

I like the overall design a lot, and the white leather inside circle is growing on me. If the boat weren't all white fiberglass I don't think it would work as well, but it's a nice upgrade, and you always have the original wheel if you change your mind.
