2007 272 Square pin for swim step

It appears the square pin that acts as a stop on my swim step is missing. Any ideas for a replacement, or other ways to repair other than drilling it out and putting a bolt through it? Without it the step just swings under the swim platform, and it is very difficult to deploy and stow.

It’s difficult to tell but it looks like a small rectangle pin is what you are trying to source. That will be tough.
A call to your local Cobalt dealer may help even though this model is over seven years old. They may be able to source that pin at the factory. It’s a long shot but worth a call. Otherwise a stainless bolt may be your best option.
