Electric (power) Trailer Tongue Jack

Hey Guys, I have a R6 and thinking of putting a power tongue jack on the trailer. I have a Ram 2500 truck and going to plug it in to the 7 way plug to power it. I don't want to add a battery just for the jack. Had a camper place tell me it should work fine plugging in to the truck. Wondering if any of you have one and what kind do you have and if there is problems I should know about. Any advice at all is very much appreciated.

Don’t have a power jack on my trailer but I do have a power winch to pull our boat back on the trailer. I was told that the winch I have draws to much for the 7 way plug, your jack probably draws less than a winch and would check to see what it’s rated on your vehicle. I actually ran cables from the battery down thru the chassis to the back of the truck and connected to the battery properly fused with a 60 amp breaker and made certain rub points were protected. It was an installation that may be an option for you.
