New to group and boating

[Hello from. California. I recently purchased a 2002 190 from a dealership. It has the 4.3 GXi-B inboard and SX stern drive. Love the boat. Went from a jetski to boat. Still have the jetski. Glad to have found this forum. I look forward to learning the engine maintenance.

Anyone else have a 2002 190 with same engine? What prop size is original? Boat came with a 14.25 x 17?

There are a handful of people here who have or have had 190s, and I'm sure they'll chime in. Cobalt didn't have separate manuals for different boat models back then, just sections specific to each boat. Check out: https://cobaltboats.com/art/manuals/200 ... manual.pdf
and you'll see a propeller application chart on page 190.7 - most likely originally came with a 14 1/4 x 21 RH, so you're probably leaving some top end speed on the table.
