Hi guys. My 2014 R5 VP380 DP sat for 5 months in the Florida marina barn and I returned to find the throttle/shift lever is frozen in the neutral position. I figure to get at it remove the two screws on the trim plate to slip it over the lever and then take off the upholstered panel surrounding it. Can anybody confirm if you just pry around the edges of that panel to pop some clips?
The lever has been extremely stiff since we bought the boat 2 years ago. The neutral lock release button does press in and I even tried pushing the shift release button but the lever is just locked in place. So I want to inspect what I have and either repair or replace the assembly. I don't really think it's a cable problem but that's a possibility too. I appreciate any and all advice from someone who has been there.
Thanks!
