2002 Cobalt 246 – 5.7l Volvo Nashville TN Area

Post by Pilotmike »

Contemplating a new ride for the spring. Completely random putting this boat online. Not in a hurry to sell and not looking for help. Firm on price, and if it doesn’t sell, that’s fine. Will winterize in November, so boat trials until then for serious inquiries only.
2nd Owner, purchased in 2018 (285 hours) – Currently (375 hours). The boat is in amazing condition after 23 years. Maintained at a very high level of service and detail. Original interior, Bimini top, and electronics. All gauges work properly. Starts and runs flawlessly, never in salt water. Each season, I replace a number of parts and systems to keep the boat reliable. Never failed to start or run, never left us stranded.
Road King Trailer is 2018 model. Previously on a lift in NC. Tandem axel, disc brakes.

Preventative Replacement
Axle bearings service
New Goodyear Endurance Trailer Tires (<600 miles) 2024
Tongue strap
Gimble bearing
Shaft U-Joint
Bellows
Trim sending unit
Thermostat
Fuel pump
Upgrades
Trailer Valet jack – raise/lower with hand crank or drill
Boat cover
Repair/Maintenance
Impeller – every 2 seasons
New Trim motor
New Blower fan
Replaced spark plugs
Sent tach to Faria for service – repair
Out drive completely resealed
Oil Change every season
Gear Lube change every season
Winterized every season – block drained- cylinders fogged

I have already purchased 2025 winterization supplies will come with the boat. $250 value
The boat averages 10-25hrs of run time a season, some less than others due to work. Classic Cobalt design and handling. Always get compliments on the lines and design of the hull. Blue Cobalt clear coat still in great shape. Repolished in 2024. Heavy boat with a smooth ride, even in rough water. Cruises nicely at 30-40mph. I never run my boat WOT, so no idea on top speed, but I can tell you, it's not a go-fast. This is a cruiser that rides nicely and handles perfectly and will plane with ease with 10 adults onboard.
Porta Pottie – We have never used
Small cutty for storage or toilet
Full width Bimini top in great shape w/ cover
Both Captain’s and passenger seats have bolsters
Massive storage plus ski locker
Tow Ring & swim ladder
Fire Bouy Engine Extinguisher
Bluetooth radio with 6 speakers
Two built-in coolers, main cabin, and swim deck
Perko Switch / 2 batteries w/ onboard charger

I have a ton of pics so message me to request more.
