Re: Garmin for 220S dash?
Sorry for my late reply (I should really log in more often to cobaltchat). I ended up going with the Simrad Navico B60-20 20° Tilted Element through-hull transducer. It's a clean install and I prefer bronze vs. plastic.

Re: Transom-mount transducer vs. through-hull transducer?
bruceb58, you are correct, that's not the thu-hull transducer. It's the transom-mounted 3-in-1 transducer you linked to (which is rather large) that I currently own.

Re: Transom-mount transducer vs. through-hull transducer?
Thanks, everyone, for your feedback and insight. Below is a photo of the transducer. As you can see it’s not petite but does pack in a lot of technology.

Transom-mount transducer vs. through-hull transducer?
I recently installed a Simrad GO5 XSE Fishfinder/Chartplotter Combo with Active Imaging 3-In-1 Transducer and C-MAP Pro Charts on my 2015 Cobalt 220 WSS (see below pics). I’m pleased with the clean install. It sits as good as the factory flush dashboard mounted Garmin 640 GPS.

Re: Cobalt 220 Flush Dashboard Mounting a Simrad GO5 XSE – Advice Welcome
Thank you, all, for your feedback/insight. I'm now reconsidering the placement and size of the unit (and have time to contact Cobalt, directly). It will now end up being a winter project.

Cobalt 220 Flush Dashboard Mounting a Simrad GO5 XSE – Advice Welcome
Back in 2015, when my Cobalt 220 WSS was new, there was a factory option to add a flush dashboard mounted Garmin 640 GPS (to the right of the steering wheel – replacing the plastic storage insert). The Garmin’s dimensions are 5.9"W x 4"H x 1.9"D. I want to install a Simrad GO5 XSE (also replacing ...

Re: New Member – 2015 220 WSS – Snoqualmie, WA
I appreciate the continued welcomes/positive feedback on our Cobalt purchase. This past weekend I spent hours detailing it (loving every minute, that is, exploring every inch). Also, thanks for looking out for me with the trailer (torsion vs. spring axels). I did verify the 2016 Eagle trailer (which ...

Re: Labor Day is over. Post your September Pics!
Houseboat answer (from my Sept. 6 post): The houseboat is memorable because it was in the Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan movie “Sleepless in Seattle”. It’s the largest houseboat on Lake Union (with four bedrooms and two bathrooms).

More importantly than our old boat, here's several of the 220 WSS on the way back to storage/it's new home (with Elk watching - while I was putting the covers on).
