Re: Cover for Swimming Platform - Cobalt R5
Thanks-- Did you get it from Cobalt? Some oterh manufacturer?Kate wrote: Thu Jun 20, 2024 7:14 am There are separate covers for platforms. I use one. Same material. They can be snap and tie or snug fitted. Doesn't have to be custom.

Cover for Swimming Platform - Cobalt R5
My R5 is subject to a lot of pine tar splash, most of which is caught by the canvas, which I can clean. The swimming platform is exposed, and gets a a lot of sticky mess which is difficult to clean up. Does anyone cover their swimming platform? How best done-- Custom canvas, other?

Re: Mantus Anchor for R-5
I have the Fortress FX-7 that Bruce listed. It’s 4lbs and I use 6’ of coated chain and I boat in a river with current and sometimes windy. It will hold my R5 and many times I have at least a Cobalt 240 and sometimes other boats/friends tied to me with just the one anchor. It always holds and I can ...

Re: Mantus Anchor for R-5
I’m also looking to replace my old anchor. I have a 2015 R5 and don’t have windlass. I am considering the Mantus, the Fortress, and a box anchor. I boat on Lake Gorge in upstate NY in the Adirondack mountains. The lake bottom is muddy, with weeds and certain spots have sunken tree branches and ...

Re: Mantus Anchor for R-5
I'd consider the 13lb if you expect to be in wind, heavy current, etc., but for someone like me who really only boats on calm, sunny days on inland lakes you could probably get away with almost any anchor. The Mantus has a reputation for being easy to set and to retrieve, so it seems like a good ...

Mantus Anchor for R-5
All: I want to upgrade the anchor system for my R5. Looking at the 8lb. Mantus or 13 lb,, my research suggests that the 8lb will be adequate for the R5, (R7 owner says it suits him fine), but I'd like to know about other experiences, and most importantly, will the Mantus 8 or 13 fit in the bow ...

Re: same issue - Batteries Drained on 2020 R5
Same sort of problem in my R5: Underway, I show voltage at 12, but after only 10 minutes of stereo (Rockford) use, I get the low-voltage reading from the stereo, and then stereo shuts down.
What would be ordinary voltage when the boat is "at rest"?
Ideas?
Thanks

R5 Anchor Choices
Interested to hear what anchors R5 owners are carrying. Danforth, Rocnas, Deltas? I am in a rocky, lake environment, and the dealer sent me home with an anchor that has worked well so far, but it seems undersized. What has been your experience?
