My quote was 2k ish plus 1k for shipping. I might look at getting one fabricated.

That seems really expensive for shipping? Maybe look for alternative shippers?

I just got a new quote and without shipping it was $2550 plus tax. (I go South in the winter and was going to pick it up. So, they can keep it. That is insane.

Not a bad cost. Everything is low volume for them. You going to get it or skip?

I had a swimplatforms.com platform installed on our old Chris-Craft 200 bowrider. It made the boat feel so much bigger, especially when hanging out at the sandbar, or in a cove. My only regret was not getting it sooner. I thought the quality was very good. Ours was also closer to the waterline, but never had a problem with it affecting hole-shot. Coming off plane, it would for sure get covered in wake. We had it for about 3 summers before selling the boat and had no cracking at all. When I had it installed, the guy had a couple backing plates on the transom to strengthen the thru-hull bolt areas.
