The joys of trailering.

Carlisle tires really suck. I had two on a sea ray 185 trailer and both were getting ready to go. I replaced with another brand. On my 220s trailer (boatmate) I have replaced two of the tires the past couple months with goodyear endurance. Plan to do the other two in the spring (5 year old tire thing). One I replaced got a nail in the sidewall and the other got a puncture at the ramp. I am all in on goodyear endurance for my replacements. if they don't last i'll blame bbp

I have a set of Carlisle's, (first time using this brand), that are going on 5 years old, no problems so far, most of my towing is over 100 miles at a time so they get warm, I think they redesigned their tire a few years ago?
I'm pretty good about checking tire pressure.
Next year I'm in the camp for the new Goodyear like most of you, as I've used the Marathon for many years with good success.

Take a string or ruler and go from the same spot on each side of the axle or spindle or tire and go to the coupler on each side and see if it's the same.

After replacing my non-functioning brake system with new coupler, disc brakes, brake lines and wheel bearing, my trailer guy warned me about the dry rotted tires (Great tread!) that he was afraid to even put air into...so down the road (1/2 mile away) I went and had four new tires put on the trailer...that was just about a B.O.A.T. experience!

Ran into some fresh white paint last week, sorry no pics, by looking at tires their must have been a good size puddle of paint, hardly any on truck but the boat/trailer got splattered well.
So far I have about 3 hours removing paint, not hard to remove just slow work

ST notes a trailer tire (special trailer), LT is a light truck tire
