Behind the helm. Black one was broken. The insulation was still holding it in place. Just start wiggling the wires you will find it.
The intermittent power issue is certainly an easy fix.

The flashing zeros is a little more difficult to diagnose.
Just do what some do with that nasty yellow light on the a car. Put some black tape over it.lol
See easy fix. Anything over 3 feet is over rated.lol

I am too OCD about my equipment working big block. There isn't one thing in my house that is broken--from cars to toys--it drives me nuts for some reason and I have to fix it.

We will keep our boat the same way. 😎😎

Oh. Duh.. Show what I know about fishing. On my last boat I had these trolling thingys on the back from the P.O. I used to ride around in the morning drinking my coffee and troll with two lines out. If I caught one I'd just throw it back.

One day I was catching a lot. So many that I put them on a stringer to give to a kid in our lake neighborhood that fishes a lot. I was soo proud!

The kid has a speech impediment. He saw my fish and said "Those ahhr dwrums. Ain woth eatin. I figguhed you shoulda known tupid"

I haven't fished since

While marine tech was troubleshooting depth sounder, he found I had one mounted on the transom AND one shooting thru the bottom of the hull.

The piece shooting thru the hull is out of oil (whichever oil type that is). Faria is calling back with type. That may explain flashing depth display.

Hmmm

The one out side is your water temp guage. I think as long as you have a liquid in there it will work. I guess I never had a issue and didn't know it was filled with something so what do I know.

Hey thanks BBP. Did not realize that was the water temp reader!

Now hopefully just get some mineral oil and all should be good.

Filled reservoir with propylene glycol. (Also can use mineral oil).

Hopefully when 263 goes in water next week --no more flashing depth gauge.
