A7 - Is the company keeping everybody current? All simulator? Will you have to have a check ride before a revenue flight? If you take the furlough package how do you keep your type rating?

Yes to all your questions....and type ratings do not expire. Only currencies do after 90 days...which would require a simulator ride to become current again.

I called a dealer yesterday and talked about consigning my R7. Looking to move up to a weekend/ live aboard in a few years, but since all I hear is how the used market is on fire, thought I'd test the waters.

He had an interesting perspective- All these new boat buyers may have remorse in a few months after they feel the full, true cost of boat ownership. IE- fuel, storage, maintenance, Etc. His opinion is there could be a glut of boats flooding the market come Nov/ Dec.

Good news is, according to him, now is the time to sell. Says mine would bring significantly more than I paid 15 months ago. But in three to four months may be a better time to buy.... Who know...

I think in many respects your dealer is correct, but it will take more than 3-4 months. People at our lake are using their boats every weekend like it's a holiday weekend. Once we get back to traveling, kids sports, weddings, etc. everything will calm down in the market. I think...

Called Cobalt this morning about absence of info on the outboard R6. He said we'd probably see it in the October timeframe. Said they're still planning on the Ft. Lauderdale boat show (end of Oct) & that an R6 outboard should be there.

Looking forward to it!! Glad I didn't jump on the 25SC.

So many weddings were cancelled and re-booked that I had to start picking dates for May of 2022 this past March.
