Hydrohoist UL2 6600 Bunk Position Question......

Post by SVT Tech »

We upgraded from a 1993 Cobalt 220 to a 2000 Cobalt 262. We have a Hydrohoist Ul2 6600 lift in our slip that we used with the 220. I'm planning on moving the lift back 4 ft to accommodate for the length, but does anyone know if the bunks will need repositioned?

The 1993 220 hull was the same through 1999 if that helps anyone. I meant to measure the 220 trailer bunks, but we sold the 220 yesterday. I'm hopeful the current bunk configuration will work.

Thank you guys!

As it may appear close in width on the hull . Always measured the distance between the chines ( tape .. string .. and weight) .
That measurement can be used to set your outside to outside distance.

This is done at the transom and then at the hull forward where the bunks reach ( 12 foot bunks go forward 12 feet and tape string weigh again.
Deduct 2 inches and set your bunks. It will center but not rest on the chines.

Sounds tricky but with 2 people it will take 10 minutes and your Cobalt will thank you!
