Re: Captains Call pricing... what’s a reasonable range?
I paid $3,327 for parts and labor for captains call to be installed. Hardin Marine had the best price by far (pic included). I had a local marina do the install.

That stripe looks awesome! Is it paint or tape? I did a similar stripe on my last boat with paint.
I saw that last pic in another thread and thought to myself how cool the stripe looks and how it really makes it pop! Definitely sets you apart from the crowd.
It is a vinyl stripe from ...

Re: lost anchor for windlass- need specs to order new one
I got everything replaced and all is working awesome. I called and talked to a Maxwell tech and he explained why it has to be a 8 plait rope and how the chain diameter and spacing is so important. He was awesome and sent me the owners and service manual for my windlass. Mine is a discontinued model ...

Lake of the Ozarks about 7 miles up the Big Niangua arm. I have put over 180 miles on the boat in about 5 days of boating so far...still have 8 more days of vacation left here at the lake.

Re: Prop change on a B3 282?
The trim rams were in the forward position instead of the rear and that was corrected (thanks cmattj). I removed the skeg guard and cleaned up the front of the skeg as best I could. It is banged up, but not bad enough to cause issues.

Thanks. It looks even better in person.
Right after I took the pictures, the wind picked up due to a pop up storm and before we could swim to the boat...it broke 3 arms of the umbrella. I was able to put metal brackets where it broke and got it back into working condition. I will put the same ...

Red, White, and Blue 282
So I finally got around to adding the red stripe and flag this week just in time for the 4th!
I have had a lot of compliments on the stripe, but I am sure there are some that will say it looked better before and that I should have left the classic boot stripe alone. Let me have it! lol

lost anchor for windlass- need specs to order new one
I broke the rope trying to get the anchor unstuck yesterday and lost everything. I need the measurements in order a new one. If anyone can get those for me, it would be greatly appreciated. I need overall length of the main anchor shaft. Pics would be great if possible.

Stereo install issue with the Sony MEX-GS620BT
If anyone would be willing to answer some install issues over the phone, please respond and I will pm my number.
The stereo is fine until I hook up the wire to power the amps which worked just fine with the previous stereo.

Re: Prop change on a B3 282?
Hey Patriot.. you’re pretty close with the pitch vs Rpm. Ideally 4900 is max but you have to consider optimum weight and wet load.
These hulls like a neutral drive setting at cruise speed.( The plane of the lower outdrive is equal to the plane of the hull is neutral).
My one question is in the ...

Prop change on a B3 282?
What is the rpm limit that I should be able to achieve with a 282 496HO? The front end seems to ride high no matter what I do with the out-drive, and porpoises more than usual. I had 5 teenagers in the front with 11 people total and it still rides higher than normal. There is no water in the bilge ...

So I finally purchased a pair of Costa 580G deep water prizm polarized glasses and they are amazing. Fit is unbelievably comfortable and they are crystal clear. Awesome sunglasses!
