Re: Drive service question
Gear lube checked out fine in both drives. Service thinks it is just something I came in contact with in the water. Weird.

Re: Drive service question
I didn't see oil in the water, but I wasn't necessarily looking. The scum line seems to build up back there in the wintertime. In the summer it is quick work to wipe down while swimming. Easier said than done even on the lift in the winter.

Re: Winterize with a push of a button on new Volvo's...
I have trusted it all winter and no issues with either engine. If you are under warranty you still want to have it winterized just so you have the paperwork in hand.
Really? My dealer didn't say anything about that. They just said hit the drain button and put some antifreeze in the reservoir ...

Drive service question
My dealer just performed a drive service. I took the boat out yesterday for the first time since. Here is a picture of the port drive after lifting back out of the water. Notice the milky white substance. What could have caused this? Sloppy cleanup or something to actually worry about?

I'm only 5'11". No clearance issues for me. I can measure but it may be a few weeks before I am at the lake again.

Separate fuel tanks
Can anyone explain to me the logic behind having separate fuel tanks on a twin engine boat? The annoying part is the generator only feeds from the starboard tank so the levels between the two never match.

Re: Fender covers
Do any of you use fender covers to prevent scratching? There are fleece ones out there that I would imagine do a good job but reviews are mixed mostly due to fading issues.
I use a 8 inch fender and recently stopped using the fleece.
They are great and soft but, they seem to hold every ...
